TITLE OF CONFERENCE: International Conference European Sociology: New Challenges and Opportunities

Facing the new problems that become relevant to the world, conceptualizations and tools developed by sociologists show more clearly their limits. It is time for sociology to explore new directions for research, identify new areas of interest and even rethink current themes in a new perspective. Our conference aims to open a new space to investigate situations that European societies are facing. It brings together theoretical and empirical contributions from sociology but also from related fields such as demography, anthropology and social work. Theorists and practitioners in the fields mentioned above are expected to present papers and participate in debates which will be organized in 29 sections.
Abstracts for papers with 250 words or less should be uploaded electronically by July 25, 2012. The online submission form can be accessed at the address: www.conference.arsociologie.ro/Online-abstract-submission. A person cannot sign (as autor or co-autor) more than two papers within the conference. Participants will be notified online no later than July 30, 2012 on the acceptance of their abstracts.

The participants should register by September 5, 2012 confirming the payment of the conference fee (in the account specified on the conference' website). The conference fee of 150 RON/35 EUR (100 RON/25 EUR for master and doctoral students) covers the map and book of abstracts, meals and refreshments throughout the conference. Participants are requested to cover their travel and accommodation expenses. The organizers will negotiate preferential prices for accommodation in Oradea which will be posted on the conference website.
